Safe Schools Initiative

I am pleased to invite you to submit an application from your school for the 2024 Alabama Safe Schools Initiative Awards. These awards have previously provided the opportunity to identify and recognize excellence and current trends in school safety. We were forced by the pandemic to pause this process but are excited for the opportunity to reinstate these awards.

A new application and judging process has been implemented for the awards, which will streamline final selections. Links to both our process description and application are below.

The deadline for receipt of all applications (Phase 1) and Evaluation of Emergency Preparedness (Phase 2) is Friday, August 16, 2024.
