STATEMENT OF ATTORNEY GENERAL LUTHER STRANGE
REGARDING MIKE HUBBARD SENTENCING
(MONTGOMERY) – Attorney General Luther Strange issued the following
comment regarding the sentencing of Mike Hubbard to serve time in prison:
“Today’s sentence of former Speaker Mike Hubbard to serve prison time for
corruption in office is a turning point in our state. No longer can elected officials expect
to disregard our laws and not pay a penalty. I am proud of the work of my Special
Prosecutions team for ensuring that justice has been served and appreciate Van Davis’
leadership and service in this matter.”
