AG STRANGE ANNOUNCES CHARGES FOR
CONSPIRACY TO MURDER JUDGE, INVESTIGATOR
(MONTGOMERY) – Attorney General Luther Strange
announced recent charges against defendants charged with conspiring to
murder a Circuit Judge and a Special Agent of the Attorney General’s
Office.
The arrests came after agents of the Alabama Bureau of Investigation
served search warrants on April 17 at the residences of Janice Green, Selena
Ford Lapsley, and Myrone Javone Tubbs in Perry County. The three were
subsequently charged in arrest warrants with two counts each of
conspiracy to commit murder. All three are held on $2.5 million bond for
each charge, with bond therefore totaling $5 million against each of these
three defendants.
Lapsley and Tubbs are currently in state custody and Green is in
federal custody due to charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
No further information about the investigation or about the pending
charges other than that in the arrest warrants may not be disclosed at this
time.

*A warrant is merely an accusation. The defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
