AG Statement on U.S. Supreme Court Decision to Take Arizona Immigration Case
(MONTGOMERY) – “I am glad the Supreme Court recognizes the
importance of Arizona’s appeal and has decided to take the case without delay.
This morning, I called to congratulate my friend Arizona Attorney General Tom
Horne. Alabama has supported Arizona in its legal effort from the beginning,
and Alabama will continue to vigorously support Arizona as the case moves to
the Supreme Court. I am confident that the Supreme Court will rule in
Arizona’s favor, which will give the 11th Circuit all the more reason to uphold
Alabama’s similar law.”
