ATTORNEY GENERAL LUTHER STRANGE WELCOMES MAJOR GREENE COUNTY
CIRCUIT COURT RULING IN FAVOR OF STATE IN FRONTIER BINGO FORFEITURE
CASE
(MONTGOMERY) – Attorney General Luther Strange welcomed a significant Greene County
Circuit Court ruling Monday siding with the State of Alabama in an electronic bingo case
involving Frontier Bingo of Knoxville, Alabama.
“I am pleased with the ruling of the Greene County Circuit Court granting the State of
Alabama’s Petition for Forfeiture and Condemnation of $191,249.11 in currency and illegal
gambling machines seized from Frontier Bingo in 2014,” said Attorney General Luther Strange.
“This a significant victory for the rule of law in Greene County.
“The funds seized from illegal operations at Frontier Bingo will be transferred to the General
Fund of the State of Alabama and the gambling machines seized will be destroyed in
accordance with the Circuit Court’s decision.
“Electronic bingo is unlawful within the State of Alabama and today’s ruling is further evidence
that the law is being enforced.”
Attorney General Strange thanked Assistant Attorneys General John Kachelman and Bill
Lisenby of the Criminal Trials Division and Special Agents of the Attorney General’s
Investigations Division for their work investigating the case and executing the search warrant
which led to the seizure and the successful prosecution of Frontier Bingo.

ORDER
This case was initiated by the State of Alabama pursuant to the Code of
Alabama, 1975 Section13A-12-30 and its related provisions and was hear data bench
trial which commenced October 20,2015.
After trial, the Court hereby GRANTS the State’s Petition for Forfeiture and
Condemnation as to the $191,249.11 in currency and as to every machine and seized
record taken from the operation sat Frontier Bingo. Further, the machines and currency
are here by forfeited to the State.
It is further the order of this Court that the State shall destroy or dispose of said
machines with notice to the Court of said time and place of disposition as provided by
Section13A-12-30(a) of the Code of Alabama, 1975.
In addition, the $191,249.11 forfeited to the State of Alabama shall be
transmitted to the General Fund of the State of Alabama as provided by Section13A-
12-30(c) of the Code of Alabama, 1975.
